The AAUP’s Governing Council approved a Legislative and Policy Agenda for 2023 that includes
- A Federal-State Partnership for Free College
- Federal Funding for Higher Education Programs (Pell Grant, etc.)
- Advancing the Economic Security and Collective Bargaining Rights of Faculty
- Upholding Academic Freedom and Opposing Legislative Interference in Teaching
- State Funding of Higher Education
- Racial Diversity and College Admissions
