AAUP’s 2023 Legislative Agenda

The AAUP’s Governing Council approved a Legislative and Policy Agenda for 2023 that includes

  • A Federal-State Partnership for Free College
  • Federal Funding for Higher Education Programs (Pell Grant, etc.)
  • Advancing the Economic Security and Collective Bargaining Rights of Faculty
  • Upholding Academic Freedom and Opposing Legislative Interference in Teaching
  • State Funding of Higher Education
  • Racial Diversity and College Admissions
